Conway Police Investigates Armed Robbery/Bomb Threats To City Schools

Conway Police Department responded to two separate bomb threats Tuesday morning after calls came in from both Conway Middle School and Conway High School. From the release:
"Conway, SC (February 19, 2013) – On Tuesday, February 19, 2013 approximately 7:30 a.m., Conway Police officers responded to 1104 Elm Street, Conway Middle School, in regards to a bomb threat. The school was evacuated and officers from Conway Police Department, Horry County Police Department and Horry County Sheriff’s Office searched the school and did not locate any threat.
At approximately 11:00 a.m., Conway Police officers responded to 2301 Church Street, Conway High School, for a separate bomb threat. The school was placed on lock down and searched. No threat was located."
Both cases are still under investigation. Meanwhile, the Department also sent out a release on an armed robbery that took place at Gullies gas station on February 10th. From the release:
"Conway, SC (February 19, 2013) – Conway Police seek to identify and question the individual shown in the photograph below in connection with an armed robbery that occurred at Gullies on Main Street in the city limits of Conway.
On Sunday, February 10, 2013, at approximately 6:00 p.m., Conway Police officers responded to 1512 Main St.(Gullies) for a report of an armed robbery. Upon speaking with the store clerk, officers learned that a young black male approximately 19 to 25 years old wearing black pants, a dark blue shirt, and hooded camouflage jacket came into the store carrying what appeared to be a sawed-off short shotgun.
The victims stated that the subject walked to the Subway counter and pointed the gun at the employees, who ducked down behind the counter. The suspect then turned and walked around behind the counter of the gas station where the clerk was standing. The suspect then placed a yellow bag on the counter and ordered the clerk to open the register and give him the money. The subject is described as being 5 foot 9 inches tall and about 150 pounds, clean cut with no facial hair and short hair. "
