Joint Drug Interdiction Operation A Success
Officers from Horry County Sheriff’s Office, and the South Carolina Highway Patrol, teamed up with Conway Police Department last week to help out with efforts to deal drug related crime in within the community. From the release:
"Conway, SC (February 22, 2013) – On Wednesday and Thursday, February 20th and 21st officers from the Horry County Sheriff’s Office, Horry County Police Department, and South Carolina Highway Patrol joined Conway Police Department officers in conducting a joint drug interdiction operation, within the City.
Officers focused their efforts and attention in and around the Huckabee Heights, Darden Terrace and 9th Avenue areas, as well as the corridors that connected the targeted areas. The operation began at 6:00 p.m. and lasted until shortly after midnight both days and netted one hundred ninety-eight (198) enforcement contacts, fifty (50) citations including eighteen (18) for drug violations, the seizure of over $800, eleven (11) arrests, and the service of four (4) outstanding warrants."
