UPDATE Equinox Art & Music Fest

Equinox logo
March 24th  Noon - 8pm
The Equinox Art & Music Fest is just a month away and we are stoked about this year's event!  We have an abundance of art, an outstanding music line-up and this year we've added glass blowing, weaving and encaustic painting demonstrations, giving visitors even more reasons to stay downtown.

Alcohol Sales
Our new location at the Farmers is within walking distance of great restaurants and watering holes and.... FYI...We will be in the alcohol zone this year. The alcohol zone will include Crady's Restaurant, Fat's Warehouse, the Cypress Inn, Kimberly's, the Crafty Rooster, Coppers, the Bistro and everywhere in between. Although we won't be selling alcohol, visitors to the Equinox can purchase a wristband from us for $1. This will allow them to visit downtown restaurants and bars; purchase wine and beer and shop downtown businesses with no worry of an open container law! So tell your friends, customers and co-workers to come downtown for the day and ENJOY!

Advertising
We are promoting the Equinox across several media; Rivertown Radio, Conway Journal, Alternatives Magazine, Horry Independent the Sun News and various online sites. We have also purchased promotional postcards and posters for you to give away.  Please come by the office and pick up a a stack of cards to help promote the event! Click this link to see our full page ad which will run in the March issue of Carolina Arts Magazine. The Sun News and Carolina Arts will also be doing a story on the event! In addition, this year we have also secured space for the Equinox banner at the foot of the Main Street Bridge! Yea!

Downtown Thursday Night at 6

Take an unseasonably warm February, Thursday night and check out downtown at 6PM...

Thank You For Not Posting

Do you know what would be good? If people kept their mouths shut more often. That’s what…Particularly on Facebook, twitter, Linked-in, Hulu, Zulu, etc. I cannot stress enough how aggravating it is to have my news feed, phone, and email blow up with every possible combination of wasted words in existence. I do not care about your fish tank. I will not “like” your status so that in your boredom you can “rate” me. And yes, Jesus will still love me if I do not forward that fluffy “super Christian” e-mail. (For one thing, that’s not even Jesus. He was a Hebrew. Not some girly looking white guy with green eyes.)
