Conversations With The Redeemed: Healing Monday

As I walked through the valley of the shadow of death… I almost went to hell…

Psalms 23:4-6 (KJV)

4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. 6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

Hello! Thanks for stopping by Conversations With The Redeemed today. We hope you are blessed as you join in. We’re coming to you today from our home on Alligator Branch. I’m Boyce!

And I’m Della! Before we get into what God has placed in our hearts today to share with you we always like to open with a prayer and invite the Lord into our conversation.

(Prayer): Lord, thank you so much for allowing us the privilege of sharing our lives and your truths with people today. We pray that you bless the minds, hearts and lives of every person who stops by and spends a little of their precious time with us here today. Bless them with revelation, strength and healing from your precious spirit. In Jesus name, Amen.

Today we have a very special episode of CWTR. Previously I shared my testimony of dying one night for a few moments and how God healed me when I saw Jesus. Today Boyce is sharing with you the day he walked through his “valley of the shadow of death” and how God redeemed him from death, the grave and hell.

Boyce: First I’d like to say I was raised in church by my grandmother. At this point I believed in Jesus, but hadn’t committed my life to him and didn’t really know him when I crashed my car into a huge pine tree when I was about 20 years of age. I was thrown out and bounced off the huge tree.

At the hospital I was so busted up the doctors didn’t have much hope for me. But I had a praying Momma and Grandmomma who wouldn’t give up on me or Jesus. I went into a coma and stayed there for about 10 days. It was while I was in the coma that I walked through the valley of the shadow of death; or fought my way through, and that’s what I want to share with you. I didn’t see the light, but saw that I was in a dark gray place. There I went though some dark and scary un explainable things until I wound up in a group of about six men who were strangers to me. Each one seemed dark and was dressed in black. They had me surrounded and I could feel their evil breath on my face and neck.

The one in front of me said, “Are you going to join us or not?” I knew they were evil, and if I said yes I was going to hell, because that’s where they were from. Even in my coma I had an innate sense of right from wrong because I had been taught that by my mother and grandmother.
I wasn’t able to speak so I shook my head no. The one evil guy talking said, “If you don’t join us I’m going to take this knife and cut your guts out.” I couldn’t talk but I knew they could read my thoughts and at this point I thought, “If you kill me I’ll die with the name of Jesus on my mind and heart.”

That’s when I saw he had what looked like a big long filet knife. He stabbed me in the lower part of my abdomen and with both hands pulled up the knife cutting me up to my chest bone.
That’s when I came out of my coma for the first time. After that I don’t know if I went back into a coma or the Lord was giving me visions of what I had walked through, but he showed me how close I came to dying. I saw a place where people were dying, some I knew and some I didn’t know, but I could literally smell the death on them.

They were screaming and hollering as they were being drug into a hole that leads to hell.
When I turned my attention to myself I was in a plot of dirt like a grave and I was covered up to my knees. I still couldn’t talk but I knew the presence of God was there, and I saw two angels that came to me and stood on each side of my grave. That was the first time I could speak and I asked them, “Are you going to help me?”

They turned and asked God if it was all right if they helped me. I heard Him say yes. Each one grabbed me by an arm and pulled me up out of the grave. When they pulled me out that’s when I really fully awakened for the first time to know my surrounding and learn I was in a hospital and that I was going to live.
I also learned how long and faithfully my Mother, family and their church was praying for me as I walked through the valley of the shadow of death.

I did fear evil and death while in my coma, but making the choice for Jesus brought me back to life.
So don’t ever stop praying for your loved ones as long as they are alive. And please share Jesus with every one you love. My Mother and Grandmother shared him with me and that’s what brought me out of death, hell and the grave and now I’m on my way to heaven when I fully die this time. I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever!

Della: Well, once again it’s time for us to sign off. We hope Boyce’s testimony here helps you in your walk of faith. We hope it helps you to realize that sharing Jesus is never a waist of time, even if you can’t see the fruits of it right now. When Boyce had his accident his beloved grandmother had already passed away, but the fruits of her prayers were answered and he will see her again one day in heaven. I never got to meet her in this life, but I’m looking forward to meeting her in heaven.

We hope Boyce’s testimony helps you to understand that prayer works; God works through our prayers for ourselves and for others. There is power in prayer!

Boyce: Since then I’ve had more battles and wars that Jesus has had to help me win. But through that experience I am not afraid when I die I’m going back to that awful place because Jesus delivered me from dying and going to hell, which was where I had been heading before my accident.
My final thought is don’t wait to have to go through something like I did before you give your heart to the Lord and let him change you. Some of the people I saw in my coma wasn’t as fortunate as I was because I had a praying Momma and Grandmomma.

Della: You could be that Momma, Daddy, Grandparent or friend whose prayers help deliver your family or others from going to that awful place Boyce was in. Please make a decision for Christ, if you haven’t, and become a powerful praying person whose love can reach down into the grave, pull someone out and give them life; the life Jesus and his father, God wants to give them. They can be healed from going to hell forever!

Boyce: Once again, I’m Boyce!
